a quote, a quirk & a question- full moon musings to get the juices flowing
Quote:
To be courageous is to stay close to the way we are made.
-David Whyte, Consolations
Quirk:
Etymologically speaking, courage has its roots in the Latin word for heart: cor. The word as we know it today traveled through old Norman French.
Whether your notion of courage is to be seen moving boldly in trying circumstance against oppressive forces, or to step into the unknown with your head held high, its linguistic origin is down there in your chest, within the very first organ that developed in you.
Question:
Pick something that feels challenging in your life right now.
How might you engage with it in a more heartfelt way? How might you interact with it courageously?
p.s. Sometimes courage looks like going up and down and up and down
